World Storytelling Day is a global celebration of the art of oral storytelling. It is celebrated every year on March 20. This year we decided to join this international event. We invited Mr Meic Pearse, Emeritus Professor of History, and our dear native-speaker-neighbour to read to our young students.
Professor Pearse opened up a whole new wonderful world of Paddington, the bear from the Darkest Peru to our students who listened and followed his storytelling most attentively. It was amusing to hear and experience the voices he gave to different characters and to soak in his beautiful English. How lucky we all are to have the opportunity to enjoy the storytelling by a native speaker!
